Rationale: This series captures the everyday experiences of millions of Peruvian women. Rather than focusing on extraordinary moments, I wanted to document the routines that often go unnoticed. The photographs move through public transportation, train stations, markets, and stores, showing women as both workers and consumers. The crowded trains and busy streets reveal Lima’s movement as essential to daily life, connecting women to their jobs and responsibilities. I chose to capture these moments naturally and candidly to show the reality of everyday life. The photographs demonstrate that women’s stories are found not only in extraordinary achievements but also in the ordinary routines they experience every day.
